Mobiliy Launches 3G Live TV and Video on Demand Portal

Mobily, the official brand name of Etihad Etisalat and the 2nd mobile service provider in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has launched an 3G Live TV and Video on Demand Portal. The TV and VoD portal is powered by Dilithium using its Dilithium ViVAS solution. Dilithium is a global provider of high-quality multimedia delivery over mobile and broadband networks. Dilithium pioneered mobile video communications and solutions are deployed by leading network operators, content owners, and aggregators across 2G, 3G, and WiFi networks in 60 countries and reach more than 1 billion subscribers.

Mobily subscribers can access the service by dialing the ‘1488′ short-code associated with it. Video menus are rapidly displayed, and customers navigate using key presses on the handsets. Channel and menu switching is easy and fast, and subscribers can watch 21 Live TV channels, a wide collection of Video on Demand (14 channels) and music among others.

Dilithium’s ViVAS solution has powerful capabilities that enables operators and service providers to rapidly develop and launch Video Value Added Services.
