The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) of India has finalized the 3G policy and a reserve price of approximately USD 521.7 million (INR 22.60 billion) for telecom companies that want to participate in a pan-India auction for third generation (3G) spectrum. The much-awaited policy is expected to be announced in the next couple of days. The announcement has recieved mixed reactions from the Indian telecom industry that is now waiting for Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh to finally review it.
